The Lamellar Beauty method repairs the stratum corneum’s lamellar structure.The skin’s stratum corneum (SC)consists of corneocytes, and inter-corneocyte lipids, which make up the lamellar structure comprised of ceramides, fatty acids, cholesterol, phospholipids, and other substances. This structure locks adjacent corneocytes in place, allowing the (SC) to serve as the skin’s barrier. However, inter-corneocyte lipids are shed due to the effects of UV Light, synthetic surfactants, and other influences, damaging the lamellar structure. The resulting loss of the SC barrier function invites skin dryness, skin irritation, blotchiness, pigmentation, wrinkles, sagging, and more.
