Miracle of Microcurrent

Celebrities & socialites have been getting Microcurrent Facials for the longest time, but How does it work, exactly?  Does it hurt?  Can anybody get microcurrent?

So, what is it?

A microcurrent facial is often referred as a “Non-Surgical face lift” or “Pilates for your face”.  It is painless.  It is used to tighten muscles on the face and neck, stimulate collagen, promote lymphatic drainage, reduce under eye circles, and improve skin quality through increasing oxygenation.  In scientific terms, it stimulates ATP in the cells, that means the cell has more energy to do all the tasks that should do.  Thats why the skin looks so good after a Microcurrent Facial!

How does it really work?

An excellent professional microcurrent device emits extremely low-voltage electrical currents with mirror your own body’s electrical currents to stimulate your collagen & elastine production at a cellular level.  Thirty-two muscles and surrounding tissue on the face and neck are manipulated with microcurrent promoting circulation, cellular repair and regeneration, and collagen production.

Why is so popular now?

Microcurrent technology is has been used as a medical treatment to repair damaged tissues and muscles for over a century.  But when a physician noticed the skin of patients treated for Bell’s palsy looked younger after getting microcurrent treatments, esthetics immediately adopted the technology.

It is proven that excess of facial fillers and botox could impede the natural flow of lymph from the tissues.  Adding these facials, support the skin after any medical procedures and surgical lifts.  Everything looks better!

How does it feel on the skin?

Depending on the different programs, you could feel nothing to an slight tingling.  It is very relaxing, there is something about microcurrent that most of my clients sleep through or just go to their happy place.

How long is a treatment?

The treatments are 60 to 90 minutes long.  Clients usually choose to add exfoliation, dermaplaning, oxygen infusion, or Nano-Needling to their microcurrent session.  There is no downtime and you could do it right before an event, photo-shoot, or a date.

What are the results?

The entire face will look tightened and fine lines and puffiness diminished.

What my clients notice the most is the contouring and definition of cheekbones, jawline, and neck.  It is like you had a really long nap.

You can see results on only one treatment, but like going to the gym, you need to commit to a regime to see lasting results.

How many treatments do I need?

I recommend 10 to 15 treatments during the first 6 weeks, followed for a regular maintenance schedule.  Results are definitely cumulative. I have clients that come every 2 weeks, 3 weeks , or 4 weeks.  Keeping consistency with the esthetician that knows your face and muscles makes all the difference.

If you are a person that enjoys doing at-home treatments, I highly recommend to have a microcurrent device so you can do a few movements at home to keep your great results.  There are great devices, like Mini by Clareblend and they are easy to use, specially following videos to learn the basic technique.

How much Microcurrent Facials cost?

The cost can vary from $165 to $330, depending on the combination of other treatments added.
